Glossary
The words 0seat uses in the console and on this site, defined in a sentence or two. When a word has a precise meaning in the code, that is the meaning given here.
- Space
- 0seat’s unit: one account of your inbox software connected to the assistant, with its own database, settings, members and subscription. An organisation can have several spaces.
- Entry
- An item in the knowledge base: a question as customers ask it, and the answer the assistant will give. It is born a candidate and is only used once approved.
- Approved base
- The set of entries approved by someone on your team. The assistant relies on them alone; a pending or rejected entry never makes it into a draft.
- Nightly extraction
- The task that, every night within the space’s window, reads resolved conversations and turns them into candidate entries, generalised to remove what belongs to one customer.
- Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
- The assistant’s method: before writing, it searches the approved base for entries close to the question, then writes from them. Without a close enough entry, it does not write.
- Similarity threshold
- The minimum closeness between the question and an approved entry for the assistant to write. Below it, the conversation goes to a person instead of an improvised answer.
- Hybrid search
- The combination of a meaning-based search (vector embeddings) and a full-text search to find the entries closest to a question.
- Draft
- The assistant’s proposed reply, placed as a private note in the conversation; its sources are recorded in the console’s activity log. An agent sends it, corrects it or discards it.
- Private note
- A note on a conversation in your inbox software, visible to agents only, never to the customer. It is where the assistant writes its drafts and its handoff reasons.
- Handoff
- The moment the assistant stops and leaves the conversation to a person: money, dispute, cancellation, an explicit request for a human, a second follow-up without a solution, or no entry close enough.
- Inbox mode
- The setting, inbox by inbox, of what the assistant does: off, draft, or autopilot, which sends replies directly in the categories that have passed the measurement.
- Payments inbox
- An inbox declared as such, or whose name mentions payment or billing. The server refuses autopilot on it, whatever the console asks.
- Agent bot
- The account 0seat creates in your instance at connection time to receive messages and post its notes. You declare no webhook: 0seat registers it.
- Cost per call
- The measured cost of each model call, shown in the console per space and per conversation, and re-billed in arrears with a coefficient known in advance.
- Monthly cap
- The maximum model cost per space and per month, carried by your plan. Once reached, the space stops producing drafts until the next month and lets you know.
- Retention
- What a provider keeps of your data after a call. 0seat only uses model providers that do not retain data, and strips sensitive fields before the call.
- Write-only secret
- A token or credential you enter in the console, encrypted on save and never shown again. To change it, you enter a new one.
- HMAC verification
- The mechanism of your inbox software’s widget that proves the identity of a signed-in visitor. Without it on all your widgets, autopilot is refused on a WHMCS space.
